About us
The HealthyUNow Foundation (HUNF) was founded on December 28, 2011 by Julie A. Buckley, MD, along with Laurie Thomas and Michele Palumbo, and is designated a 501(c)(3) organization by the IRS.
The Foundation was started to create virtual and physical communities for individuals on the autism spectrum and their families.
The physical community will be a tribute to the understanding many parents have that an unhealthy environment, both internal and external, will result in the development of disease.
A wellness center will have programs and therapies with proven results, such as healthy nutrition, gluten-free/casein-free (GFCF) foods, organic gardening, an exercise area, animal therapies, creative therapies in art, music and drama, as well as medical care, and family and financial counseling.
An education/vocation center will provide a day program for adults, independent living skills and vocational training, after school programs for kids, and more.
A residential center will feature supported living and supervised living facilities, a residential home and visitor housing.
